【スカイプ英会話】英会話向けの音読教材ヒーロー物ドラマ「The Flash ：フラッシュ」の準備と予習まとめ

この記事は、P先生のレッスン用の音読教材とその予習のためのものです。

あまりに英会話が拙いので、K先生（帰国子女）亡き後（死んでませんが…）、発音を教えてもらいながら音読レッスンをしていただけるというP先生のレッスンをとることにしました。映画やドラマの中の会話の部分を音読していけば、多少は上達するのではないかと期待してます。

P先生とは１時間弱すでにお話しましたが、英語学習についてのご相談は最初の７分で終わってしまい、あとはゲームだ漫画だで盛り上がりました。もっち全部日本語。

次回は実質的な初回レッスンだというのに諸事情により、あまり練習できないのが残念ですが「誠意と熱意は一応はあるんです、ほんとです、嘘じゃありません。」的な予習をしてみます。

P先生へのご説明

P先生、お世話になります。P先生が紹介文の中で「教材として複数を提示してもらえるとありがたいです」と書かれてましたが、複数を選んで予習する時間がないので、今回は2014年のアメリカのテレビドラマでヒーロー物の「The Flash ：フラッシュ」にさせてもらいました。

このドラマは私にとって「somethingは後置修飾」を覚えた記念すべき番組な上に、シスコ役のカルロス・パルデス（Carlos Valdes）がキュートなところも（私の中では）評価が高いドラマです。

また、ヒーロー物ですので子供も見れるように作られているせいか、英語の難易度も高くないように思います。

本当は「ビックバンセオリー」を考えていたのですが、英語教材として改めて見てみると、会って間もない方の前で音読するのはかなり赤面モノな内容やフレーズが多く含まれていたため外しました。そのうち時間があるときにでもヤバくない部分を抜き出して使ってみます。

事件現場。パトカーが停まっていてサイレンが鳴り響く中、２人の刑事が歩きながら話している。

- What? Oh, geez, the Mardon brothers are back.

low-life：いかがわしい人、犯罪者

刑事たちの上司が近寄ってきて話しかける。

刑事が答えて状況を説明する。

perps：加害者、犯人、perp（perpetratorの略）の複数形

to shoot out：撃ち抜く、突き抜ける

a chaser：追撃者、ハンター

上司が刑事を叱責する。

if he's not here, I'm gonna have to carry on this investigation without him.

ようやく到着したバリー。

上司はためいきをついて叱責する。
